Good game, too much randomness

After reading the bad reviews, I knew I just had to buy the game. The bad reviews make no sense, especially in the context of what the developers write in the credits, check it out. The game itself is a fun sailing game, I really had a lot of fun especially in the early stages. The good things: - exploration, random events on the way - quests - lots of those - balancing between various docks and estimating resources - combat, variability of whales and their abilities The bad things: - way too much is affected by randomness - crewmen dying without and indication this could happen, random events during combat, especially with legendary creatures, make it completely unpredictable and you can't really influence the outcome - simple things are explained thoroughly in the tutorial, but where it would be useful, it's missing (e.g. what "seadog" mode is) - after a while, I wish I could skip animations in combat, it takes a lot of time where you know exactly what is going to happen, yet you cannot skip it or at least make it faster - no option for "borderless fullscreen" mode (probably not relevant for most people)
