and now it just feels like a slog. The first 10 minutes are barely interactive cutscenes trying to make BJ into a character. He's not a character, he's the player avatar as we rid the world of Nazis. He doesn't need to have a back story and all this other crap you are trying to foist on him. Also video games are the only interactive entertainment form. Taking away player agency by forcing them to stand there while cutscenes play out around them is insulting. Just make a bad movie if you are so proud of your middle school level writing.
This game is what would happen if you dropped a Souls game off on an island and had the inhabitants play it then try to recreate it without ever understanding what made it an enjoyable experience in the first place. I received this product for free, and I honestly paid too much for it. You can pretty much guarantee if it's a TinyBuild published game, it's gonna be a trashfire of an experience all around. I'd give this negative stars if gog would allow me to.
With the strong start that was Witcher 1, this game is a complete and utter disappointment. From the consolized combat and inventory systems to the completely braindead choices on alchemy and overall control systems, this game is, in every way except graphics, a step back from Witcher 1. I tried to slog through 9 hours of this tripe before realizing it just doesn't get any better. To go from the greatness that is Witcher 1 to the stinking pile of faeces that is Witcher 2, that takes dedication and commitment. They didn't completely mess this game up on accident. They wanted it to turn out the way it did, which completely removes any faith I had left in CdProjekt and solidifying them as a One Hit Wonder.
