I picked up cyberpunk with zero expectations and based on games i enjoy like shadowrun, deus ex, fallout etc. The gameplay is fantastic and allows for a multitude of playstyles along with the weapons feeling great the guns are weighty and melee satisfying to use. However i did feel forced into stealth due to it being the optimal way of completing missions. I have been lucky as the only noticable bugs/stability issues are texture pop in and one bad time when an enemy with a key item clipped into the ground. Using a gtx 1080 i can run 2560x1440 60 fps on medium since day one, which seems to be the exception. The stroy and worldbuilding are great i was sucked into it immediatly and found the characters and world real however the gangs are under used no missions on there doings and influence, the three lifesyle choices mean little, the endings drop the ball as at the time i felt as though i just started and had at least another 10 hours of solid story but no the endings are rushed and very lack luster and samey across the board, although bittersweet is acceptable for a cyberpunk theme and what i expected it was a hard pill to swallow due to my next reason. Enter Johnny and the fact that is seems neccessary for one to accept and befriend him but as charasmatic as Keanu can be i despise Johnny on an fundamental and primal level and due to the fake urgency of the game his character arc feels rushed and forced down my throat to be able to do side a major mission. If the game was set over a longer period of time say months instead of a week i would find the development between V and Johnny belivable (yes i get the greater context of why he is accepted). Sadly i feel as though they banked on people being enamoured by him but i was not and it only left me dissapointed in what could have been. I do not see myself replaying this game in 5 years time unlike the first mentioned games and feel as though this game could have done with a year or more in development.
