I'm only a few missions in, but it's an excellent arcade flight sim. Great missions that avoid a lot of the pitfalls Ace Combat falls into, and a menagerie of technically not copyrighted planes to fly (though if you're an aviation nerd, you can probably pick out what each bird is supposed to be), and tons of baddies to shoot at. I only have two major criticisms: the first is that the story isn't quite clear on some things. A bit more backstory, even in wingman dialogue would be nice. The other is the controller support. I'm not sure what's up with it, but out of the three different gamepads I own, I can't coax this game to talk to any of them. In the best of cases, it treats my Logitech F-710 as a mouse, which is not at all useful. Perhaps they can fix this in a patch or something. In the meantime, the game is awesome enough for me to muddle through with a mouse and keyboard (whose controls are surprisingly good, actually. All in all, four stars, and I'll upgrade it to five if either the developer or I can get gamepads working a bit more nicely.
