GWENT: Rogue Mage - Deluxe Edition

All Gwent, all the time.

Definitely the best Gwent so far. If you ever dreamed of having just the card game and instantly playing a few rounds against the computer whenever you feel like it, Rogue Mage is your game. Finally, it's all Gwent, all the time! :) A+ In detail: G:RM has really minimized all the distractions. While TW3's Gwent is buried in a sprawling RPG, and Gwent:Thronebreaker is more like a digital comicbook with occasional card games throughout, Rogue Mage is totally gameplay focused ... all the structural and story elements around the card-game are genuinely unobtrusive, so just a couple clicks will get you right back to playing cards at any time. Unlike previous iterations of Gwent, each skirmish is now a single round, so no more holding cards in reserve for multi-stage battles. That sort of strategizing now occurs across an entire playthrough (that chains together multiple card battles into a meandering rogue-like run) over which you have a finite set of special cards and "magical energy" to hoard/spend... So, you plan carefully, and attempt to level the playing field during ever-escalating mini-boss and boss battles. Of course, the farther along a run you are the less magic and more special cards you tend to have, so it can get pretty wild and exciting sometimes! :) Also, unlocking new cards/sets, upgrading hero-cards, and even losing cards from your deck can re-shape the mechanics just enough to bring an added bit of excitement every now and then. Tons of fun. Another huge plus for G:RM is that hardware requirements are MUCH more modest. The game is small and lightweight enough for low-end laptops and PCs, so even an Intel i5 6300U + HD520 that struggles with 15 year old classics can run Gwent: Rogue Mage quite admirably. Would love to see future updates like a "long war" mode that adds classic Gwent's 3-stage battles, and a "Conjunction of Worlds" DLC with a Cyberpunk themed card-set would be both hilarious and awesome. ;D

Nex Machina

Smash-TV and Turrican had a baby...

Fast, frenetic, old-school fun with eye-popping current-gen 3D graphics, clever level design, and music inspired by Chris Huelsbeck and Jonne Valtonen. An absolute joy. :) You had me at "Laser"...

STAR WARS™ Republic Commando

Thanks GOG - you guys ROCK! =D

Simply put, one of THE best Star Wars games ever made. The squad dynamic makes it so much more than just another shooter... and the co-operative aspect really helps draws you into the story too. You command and assist Fixer, Scorch, and Sev, but they watch your back and come to your aid in return... You really do feel like a unit. On top of that, there's a great story, shed-loads of Clone-era atmosphere, and surprisingly funny dialogue at times... ;D It really is one of the very best Star Wars experiences on PC. (Can't imagine why this never got a sequel... Hey Disney! Time for a sequel...!!!)

Drox Operative

Quite enjoyable...

If you took the best of Star Control's spaceship combat and merged it with the ship-building/diplomacy/exploration features of Master of Orion, then added character-levelling, inventory, and quest systems on top of that, you'd have this game. In other words, something a bit old-school and positively brimming with fun. :)
