Who woulda thunk that the one that started it all is actually still to this day one of the best entries of the series and one of the best games of all time. Brilliant. The remake took me 12 1/2 hours. This took me 4 hours and 45 mins. Even with that discrepancy in length, the original still holds its own as one of the best horror games of all time. The voice acting is the worst part of the game but it has a “so bad it’s good” quality to it. You can’t help but smile. My journey of playing through all the mainline Resident Evil games has concluded. And I’m glad I ended on an absolute banger.
