Defender's Quest

Tower defense game as it should be made

I've seen the trailer of the game and from second to second I was sure that I'm going to love it and I wasn't wrong. Had I been creating a tower defense game I wish it would have been that great. Let's start with the meta game aspect. Each tower is a character, with his own look and items, this adds more depth to the strategy and atmosphere of the game. Moreover, some of the characters have scripts and roles in the story and you can almost feel their personalities. The writing is great, humorous and interesting. The levels are very well designed and they get harder gradually in the exact right pace. The number of different types of monsters is large and most of them have special abilities or attributes. The content in the game is quite huge for this type of a game. Each level can be completed in four different difficulty levels for different rewards, and after you finish the game a whole other game just begins. I was surprised and happy to discover it. I really recommend anyone who likes tower defense games or likes planning stuff to have this game. In short: great gameplay, a nice story, just the right level of RPG elements and lots of content.
