A suprisingly simple looking game thats deceptivly deep. the world map seems small and yet theres dosens of Monsters (that may or maynot be stored in spherical crystals) called chimera to collect and learn about and battle with and the option to becom not just a witch but a necromancer too. there are five elements to combine from nature, storm, sun, moon and void. aswell as spells theres a deep crafting system, some farming and life sim elements where you can grow various crops from seeds, forge relationships with npcs. a suprisingly small yet vast world to explore and did i mention the necromancy? this is quite the hidden gem and well worth the price.
for those of you who remember this game from back in 1998, this version is better. the game no longer slows to a crawl when there is more than 4 enemies on the screen. couple that with the dark gothic atmosphere, the incredible voice acting from the likes of Tony Jay and Simon Templeman, the deep world building and setting that spawned 5 sequel games. this is easily worth the £5 price tag.
