The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition

good story, gamebreaking NPC cheat

The invulnerable NPCs were bad enough. The GUARDs NPCs respawning for no reason after you kill them somewhat soured the mood. So in witcher 1 you had to deal with an unkillable bounty hunter if you enjoyed the game your way. Can't allow fun. In witcher 2 they made it even worse! You get instantly an inescable character kill scene after which you need to reload. There's way to avoid the bullshit mechanic. Absolute joy killer! The devs hate you for ENJOYING a game. WTF is wrong with the devs ??? You can't decide how to play the game you need to do as the devs want you to ... can't kill NPCs LOL It's worth playing for the story but then move on. Or just read the book.

good story, gamebreaking NPC cheat

The invulnerable NPCs were bad enough. The GUARDs NPCs respawning for no reason after you kill them somewhat soured the mood. But the worst part was some unkillable, completely invincible bounty hunter coming after you for ENJOYING a game. WTF is wrong with the devs ??? You can't decide how to play the game you need to do as the devs want you to ... can't kill NPCs LOL It's worth playing for the story but then move on. Or just read the book.

Grim Dawn

completed game and remained unimpressed

considering how much hype this game got i am amazed about how lackluster it was i bought it because people said it's better than diablo 3 (which i agree is a bad game), but honestly it's worse than diablo 3 what's with all the requirements to either find dynamite, scraps or underwear to progress to next game stage ? it's really annoying easy skip game, i can't recommend it at all

Grim Dawn Definitive Edition

I find it very dull

There's nothing incredible or outstanding about it. In fact it's rather annoying. My biggest annoyance with it is the path to progress the adventure. You have to go in circles to find what you look for, pay attention to the star on the map so you won't miss the mission objective and then have to endure some special blight on the ground that removes percentage of your health. That last mechanic really killed the fun for me. Overall the game is a very generic action RPG, get a beating stick and kill monsters. Which is what I wanted, but the previous points I mentioned killed the joy entirely. On top of the annoying terrain, there's also blockade you need to blow up with dynamite and to find dynamite you need to search in certain areas. Not sure how far I am in the game in terms of total progress, but at this point i just want it to end and see how the story ends. Playing this on Linux, it works fine, but be warned it crashes for no reason after about an 1 hour or so of play and I honestly don't feel like tweaking it to make it run natively, as that's the developer's job, not mine. If you intend to tweak it a bit to make it run flawlessly it will work fine for you for sure.
