Days Gone

Ruined by terrible updates

Days Gone 1.07 was a dream on PC. Now, the lowest-bidder live-service developers at Bend Studio have "updated" the game to version 1.13, and it is garbage. Again, these are not the developers who made Days Gone that are tinkering with it now. These are loser devs that Jim Ryan hired to make live-service games, and now they're messing up a classic title that we bought years ago. And where is GOG in all this? That is a great question.

Saints Row IV: Re-Elected

Contains Epic Games launcher

As Saints Row games go, this one was decent. Really comes down to whether you're up for an even more zany experience than what SR3 had on offer. None of that really matters though as Deep Silver and Volition, in their infinite wisdom, and years after the fact, have updated the game to a so-called "Re-Elected" edition which includes some malware from Tencent. Probably skip if you value your PC's integrity and/or your personal data.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition

Recent update added Uplay-style launcher

It includes advertising for Larian's other titles as well as dark-pattern UI to trick you into creating an account with Larian. Completely unnacceptable.
