I love games with a story driven narrative where choices matter and effect how the story develops and BG3 does that better than any other game I have played. Nearly all the choices you make feel impactful and have consequences of some kind on the overarching story. All the dialogue and voice acting is top notch. Larian spent a lot of time patching the game after launch with many additional features that they didn't have to add, which is awesome. You can tell this game was a labor of love. Can't recommend more highly, even if turn based strategy games are not your thing you may enjoy it anyways just due to the sheer quality of the game. It certainly deserves all the awards it has won.
