Harvester

You always were a kidder, Steve

I remember when this was known as the scariest, most visceral horror game out there. It's still a great little point-and-click. You have to be patient with the slow speed and finicky clicking, but the puzzles are still amusing and the cast of characters memorable.

Darkest Dungeon®

Still a great dungeon delver

Difficult but awesome, I'd say. I definitely prefer PC to console. There's a lot of info in mouse over or right click. Crimson court and Color of Madness are both worth y DLC.

Opus Magnum

Fun, but frustrating

Here it is 2025, and I'm still thinking about this game from 2017. That's how catchy the puzzle loop is. Even after you solve the puzzle, you can still tinker with ways to make it smaller, faster, or cheaper. Frustrating- I'm very bad at spatial reasoning, so I can't imagine how the machine will work, I have to run it and watch. The game could make that a bit easier.

Two Point Hospital

Theme Hospital Returns- Even Better

Really fun hospital management sim. For me, the challenge levels have been just right. The biggest problem I have is the lack of subtitles for the radio/tannoy. I know it's just flavor text, but it's an important part of the TP experience.

Kathy Rain 2: Soothsayer

Worthy Follow-up, lots of fun

If you like point-and-click adventures, you'll want to get Kathy Rain 2. I nearly played it straight thru beginning to end I was that invested in the story. The puzzles have been fun.

True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 2

What a wonderful game

Interesting storyline, creepy cutscenes, clever puzzles. One of my favorite things is that most of the time there's multiple avenues of investigation open, so you don't feel like you're just stuck in one spot. One of the few HOP-style games I've played multiple times.

True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 1

Absolute gem 100% A++

This game is a must-buy for anyone who likes Ravenhearst-style games. The story is much more intricate than a typical hidden-object game, and the cutscenes are genuinely creepy. The adventure portion is puzzling without being unfair; I never found myself thinking, "how on earth was I supposed to figure out to use *this* object on *that* item?" The HOPs are puzzle=style, but can be switched to traditional list form if prefered. This game is worth your time and effort.

Master of Orion 2

Still great, after all this time

This truly deserves to be called a Good Old Game. It's still a joy to play.
