Game is very good, story is interesting, no bugs in my playthrough, mechanics too complex. There are many worlds you can visit (or read about) and encounter various phenomena. Companion stories are ok, some more or less interesting, but overall its good. Choices I think matter, and towards the end, when you meet yourself, you get a glimpse of what world would look like if you did other decisions :) There is a lot of depth, but also a lot of reading, only beginning has voice acting. I didnt encounter any bugs, that I know of, game didnt crash, there was no story blockers or major issues that for example made me skip content or make decision I didnt wanted. I think game mechanics are the most buggy, but I'm not sure anyone fully understands it :D Difficulty, its hard for me to judge, maybe a little bit to easy. On daring I was eliminating half of the enemy team, before they could do anything. Maybe its intended and gives player feeling of great power, or maybe I know what to expect from Owlcat. I think I was wiped only once. There is a lot of content. 100% recommend if you played previous Owlcat games and liked them, or you like warhammer, or RPGs, or sci-fi. I'm becoming a fan of Owlcat games.
Its quite challenging but not too much. Pretty short game and thats ok, few hours more and it would have been boring. Characters dont have enough background to be interesting or to player feel attached to them. What people write about camera is true, you need to get used to it. World and certain entities are intriguing, again there is no lore about them, to make them even more interesting.
Story is great as everyone mentioned. Gamplay is non existent, some bar where you have to click at correct time, appears around 10 times. No puzzles (you cant call a puzzle connecting only two objects you can interact with), just click explore world, read lore. The only thinking you are doing is remembering what happened and trying to pick right option in dialog. There is no possibility to replay dialog and there is no pause. I would call it interactive story, you can influence what happens but not to a great extent. I had fun, thats why 4 starts, -1 for no pause.
It is easier than Grimrock, and I like it, puzzles are not so complicated. Story is decent, different than anything else but not very engaging. Characters are likeable. There are variety of enemies, some are easy to defeat, some are irritating, towards endgame they are more powerfull, which makes it quite interesting to try out different skills, party formations and items. You can respec as many times as you like, to adapt best to the upcomming battles, which is a plus. Exploration is nice as game tells you how many secrets are left to be discovered. Map has many markers so its easy to go back and explore for skipped secrets. Only 3 crashes happend during my walkthrough, no gamebreaking bugs. All of this unperfect, but decent parts, magically make a very good game, which even made me stay with it untill completion. This doesnt happen often in my case, thats why 5 stars.
I've spent 488h on this game. I remember I playedit for whole September, I was gone from family life, my girlfriend crying and begging me to stop playing it. I couldn't. Despite all the bugs at early release, game was amazing. I rolled some weak character, thinking probably it doesn't matter. Mistake, I was destroyed by most of enemies, somehow struggled untill act 4. I skipped some optional quests. Mistake, I basically couldn't play past act 4. I didn't put to much attention to my kingdom. Mistake, it was destroyed, I had to turn off managment to continue playing. First time game did this to me, that for poor choices I was punished so hard, and I liked it, some challenge at last. I rerolled to stronger class and finished the game. Most of annoying bugs were fixed by that time. Doing it all again with different class wasn't boring at all. Now I fear this game, knowing that replaying it is not boring at all. I may start again... tldr; Game is challenging, story is immersive, bugs are fixed by now, huge replayability potential. Imo, the best of the three other RPGs (Pilars and Divinity).
