Hollow Knight: Silksong

Poshanka!!

I've hardly been able to pull myself away since it launched. It's everything the first game did well, dialed up to 11. The feedback and tightness of the controls was already good in Hollow Knight, but it is even more satisfying in Silksong, and when Hornet's full kit comes together it is seriously addicting. She moves around like a dream with a fluidity that far surpasses the Knight in the original game. The game is packed with content and is a joy to lose oneself in exploration. When you think you're done, you're not done, not even close. $20 for what this game offers is like stealing compared to the prices AAA/AAAA games charge these days. Christopher Larkin delivers another excellent score to complete the experience, nothing to complain about here. I'm glad they stuck with him. The soundtrack titles do have spoilers, so I wouldn't buy and listen to that until you've completed the game. The only real con is the difficulty balancing. If, like me, you come from many hours of Hollow Knight and have done the hardest challenges the game has to offer, you'll be well prepared for the road ahead, but otherwise you may find the experience more of a struggle. There are those who have reported having a good time with the game without having played Hollow Knight first, but I would still recommend playing that one first as it is not only is one of the greatest metroidvanias of all time, a classic worth experiencing, but it will help prepare you for this one too.
