I've followed the redemption arc of this game for the last 6 years and finally decided that it might be fun to play. Unfortunately despite all the effort that Hello Games has put into improving the content of this game, the performance on my PC with an 6 core i7 processor and GTX 1080 is abysmal. I can't play this game for longer than 10 minutes at a time without it freezing, and with apalling 50-60 FPS when the game isn't stuttering. I've spent hours debugging this issue to no avail. I'm in disbelief that a game supported 6 years after release still has such poor optimization. An entirely unenjoyable experience.
