Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templars: Reforged

Great remaster of a great game

In a time where point and click adventure games are quite rare this updated version of Broken Sword is a faithful remake and a real joy to play. Great 4K graphics, a (for its time) captivating story and likeable characters. The new, highly configurable, interface does a good job as well. A few animations here and there could be a little bit more sophisticated but that's nitpicking. Recommended!

Never liked Myst...this one I do

First of all: I usually don't like the Myst games. The graphics are dated (Myst I), the riddles are to difficult (Myst IV), you have go back and forth all the time (Riven) or the story only matters at the beginning and the end of the game (Myst III). RealMyst was a completely different experince for me. The graphics were great for a 12 year old game, movement was fast and simple via AWSD and the riddles were logical. I needed no solution and reached the end of the game in about 8 hours. I enjoyed detailed worlds, an interesting story and a peacefull but still challenging game! Will I try Riven once again? Well, maybe... I player realMyst under Win7 64bit, used the nglide GLIDE Wrapper, installed the INDEO Video driver, turned on the XP Compatibility Mode and played this game in 2560x1600 with 16x AF and 32 CSAA. I had no crashes. Highly recommended!
