I got this on give away and regret the time taken to download and install. It suffers all the problems that these type of games seem to consider a virtues such as horrible RNG and unpleasant difficulty spikes. Just don't waste your time as there are way better games for less money.
The good is simple as the basic game stands up well even today but simply this wasn't play tested properly and is sometimes painful to play. The levelling is broken to frustration but with patience can be worked around. Get it on sale bearing in mind it's flaws.

For whatever reason there are two versions of this game and this is the censored version as opposed to the original that I have in my library as Fallout 2 Classic. This really needs to be made clearer to potential buyers. For the differences check out the thread in Gog's forums.

Despite the charming music this is a game too riddled with bugs to be worth playing at any price. Freezing on a pointless cut scene, can't save so you have to quit and reload, bizarre game mechanics and some terrible voice acting all contribute to a feeling that it wasn't 79 pence well spent.
