Rearm? Same with ammo.... na sorry. This could have been really good, but this micromanaging is terrible and did not let me get past the training missions... well I looked 10 minutes until I found the repair icon hidden in a hidden menu to repair the tank (click click click). Controls are hard to get into - there can be assigned a key to everything but all the micro actions feel too overwhelming to really be useful, especally when bullets start flying around when your clicking orgy is at its finest...

2 hours of micromanagement clicking here and there. Did not read the story as the game below went on and you need to tell those people when to eat and sleep... you miss one - fatal. Does not seserve the tag simulation or strategy, replayability is zero. It is more like a point and click event - story is barely available. I would rate this game at below 2€.
Und da haben sie X-COM atmosphärisch gemacht. Wer sich für die alten X-COMs begeistern konnte darf auf keinen Fall ein Remake erwarten. X-COM 2 ist ein neues Spiel, mit ähnlichem Spielkonzept, aber viel mehr auf großes Kino gemacht. Das bedingtleider auch den abgespeckten Kampfmodus, der Feinheiten wie "da ist was im Weg" einfach mal außen vorlässt. Trotz der fehlenden guten Kampfengine macht das Spiel Spaß, schon bald packt einen die Rolle des Untergrundkämpfers, nicht zuletzt wegen der stimmungsvollen Sequenzen und der liebevollen Ausstattung an Farbe, Form und Charakteren des eigenen Teams auf das viel Wert gelegt wurde. Leider drücken die teilweise frustrierenden Kämpfe das ganze und man wird wahre Ladeorgien haben, sofern man nich tauf leicht spielt - nicht zuletzt deshalb, weil auf nach dem neuladen Aktionen genau so schiefgehen wie davor und man lediglich anders taktieren kann. Reduziert ist es den Preis auf jeden Fall wert - nicht nur für X-COM Fans.
I own the game on steam, sadly it was not available on GOG at this time :( . I played several hundred hours. If you like a survival simulation with drama you should get this. There is no story, so do not expect to be guided to your goal. But the good news is, the goal is simple: Build a ship and escape - and on the way recruit people, do not starve. The game has the best injury system I know of and it counts to the top three survival sandbox simulations for me. I rarely give a 5 star rating and I am pretty sure the last one is the biased star because I really like it. The graphics are... well you see screenshots. I was turned down by this quite a bit before I decided to buy it - it was well worth it. However prepare to have fatalities, drama, inner and outer conflicts with wildlife and humans and the deadly mechanoids cutting off limbs of your dear colonists. Rescue them and research to replace their severed body parts, so they again can be a working part of your community.
This could have been a gem, but it is just another build me a city the same way for some missions. Basically you always build up your colony, finish the one unique task tat is just using the standard game mechanisms and win. The story is not bad but actually has barely content, not even cutscenes but the final one. The game itself is solid but totally without love, graphics are ok, no visual highlights though. There is no challenge that is worth mentioning on normal difficulty, the tasks and rewards are literally all the same in each campaign setting... In general user interface/handling is good, with some weird exceptions e.g. that you cannot limit your production/set your trades, etc. in the important phases of the game... all in one: Uninspired, short and boring - do not buy at full price.
