The Evil Within 2

shoot your demons in the face

Just finished it yesterday. The more I think about it, the more I love it. Gameplay itself is good, weapons are doing what they are supposed to do, survival thing is that you are picking your battles, limited supplies don't really allow you to fight with everything. It is fun. But the game really shines in the themes it's showing. You learn to fight some twisted monsters, yes, but more important, you learn to fight your own demons. You are facing your traumas, you must do that, to be able to move forward. And this part is still with you, when the game's finished, like after a good movie. I strongly recommend it.

Fort Triumph

very misleading marketing

Turn based does not mean "X-COM", town building does not mean "Heroes", but the game is marketed as such everywhere. I fell for this, bought it and immediately wanted a refund. Got ignored.

Cyberpunk 2077

I can still forgive you

This is an industry changing game, with mature story and believable characters. Much better than Deus Ex in cyberpunk(!) genre. This is why you can stil enjoy it, even if for now Night City is just a placeholder and filler between missions because of lack of interactions, stealth is primitive and some of the weapons statistics are not working properly. I can't think of anything else but how to get back to the game and play it further, talk with main NPCs, hack someone and do some headshots from the shadows. Have patience, give it time, and it will be a masterpiece you waited for.
