Sure, nothing to play for hours but 1-2 quick games in-between are very fun. I play some of the recharged games between short work breaks to unstress me - and I am having a lot of fun! This one feels close enough to the olde arcade one, a pitty I dont have a trackball. Also the upgrades and updates are likeable. Minimalistic fun, same as a full grown shooter, same thing : D
The game is beautiful and charming. The visuals are clean, pretty and cute. The Music is astonishing. It is an audiovisual feast. Totally nice to play. The Music is beautiful and soothing, which makes the game very chilling to play. It also plays tactical and it is not that hectic all the time. You can take your time through the levels. Navigation (controller!) and shooting works super smooth. Bosses are more demanding but in need difficulty can be adapted. This game deserves a much higher rating. It is actually quite superb. This game is a joy to play, look at and listen to.
Sound, graphics and gameplay are cute. But the story and the gameplay are very simplistic. The battles are tedious and long winded without really being difficult or exciting. Enemy-Variation is small. The levels are linear and boring. You walk through screen after screen and slash some wood or books that are lying around to collect some gold. That is all. Overall, yes, it is a cute game. For children this may is a 4-5 stars game as it is very accessible and delivers some own doing in deck building (light). As an adult I sadly got bored quickly. Even quicker I started to skip the dialogues. If it is on sale and you feel for something cute and simple for a weekend then this game can be a good choice. Just do not expect too much.
