The gog version has a high chance to freeze between every scene in the menu, taking up to a minute each. dotemu has patched the launcher for steam but has not pushed the patched launcher to gog. Do not give them money until they decide that gog users arent second rate citizens.
This is not DRM free, you are subject to both an external account, network, and that the piggyback server is up. This has nothing to do on gog.
