No Man's Sky

No Game's Here

What Hello Games said they were making sounded like something I could have lost myself in for weeks at a time. Minecraft stole me away from everything for weeks when I picked it up in ALPHA/BETA and I kept coming back to it for years. NMS hasn't drawn upon me at all since release. This full retail release game doesn't even touch that era of Minecraft for content/things to do. There were repetitive actions there too sure but that was with the goal of then building into that world. There's not even simple building in this game (note: I don't believe HG ever said there would be 'building' in their game, and I don't wish to imply they did) which would at least be something to work for. This game is nothing, there is no game. You do busy work solely for the goal of more busy work. It's like the worst of early access survival games but without the expected features. It doesn't look all that great either. Still a ton of pop in, world colour palettes are to similar - this is BLUE world hope you like blue, this is BROWN world I'm sure you love brown! I'm sure other issues with inventory and ships etc. are mentioned ad nauseam in other reviews so I wont go in to it. Just frustrating. Over all I am very, very dissatisfied with this game and very much regret purchasing it. Just... just stay away from this - at least until they've made SIGNIFICANT and FREE improvements to it.
