Cyberpunk 2077

Great game - Hype damaged its launch

Well... There is a lot of bugs, graphical or technical... sprites that freezes or flash, conversation that cuts, and everything else. Bugs are expected from big sandboxes, even more when a lot of mechanics interacts. In that state, it is still very much playable and enjoyable - and I trust CD Projekt to fix them in time. Anyway, no bugs really troubled me that much, because this game has something I seek that not a lot of them have: a soul. I felt immersed, way more than the Deus Ex or the Assassin's Creed of this age. The city is living, the character is too, the story is well told and the gameplay is adequate (a little minus on the hand-to-hand combat, that get... ectic very quickly). But the universe, the story, the characters... everything is breathing, everybody has a personality, and the player is organically immersed - not infodumped. As always, storytelling is the greatest strength of CD Projekt Red in my opinion, and I just want to shout out to the team a big thank you, it's an incredibly well done job in my opinion. To sum up, I'll quote Yathzee : " the split has always been thus: games that make you feel vs. games that make you numb." And this game made me feel. I recommend it to those who seek a good story, a good cyberpunk vibe, a good RPG - Emphasis on the "Role."
