Oh my, how the time is passing. Played this one on launch, without knowing much of the Witcher verse or being familiar with the books, and I LOVED IT. I can till remember how it is 4 AM and the first boss is beating me for the 15th time this evening, oh what a time. Safe to say, this is what made me Witcher fan and what made me play the sequel as well. Even now, the game holds.
Given the landscape of the current 2025 gaming, this is one of those underrated games, which on launch did not get much love. In retrospect, this may be the last good POP game I've played. Many fans of the trilogy, including me, were kind of disappointed when initially this was a soft reboot of sort rather than a continuation of the previous one, but the story is good, mechanics are familiar and most important - this one is a lot of fun. Sadly, the story ended on cliffhanger, but better than a sh*t ending I guess. Relive this old gem! I would happily play this one than most of the games which have been release in the last 4-5 years in this genre.
