Game may be great but after spending 3 hours and encountering 2 fights i'm not gonna waste more time waiting for the game to start. If the rest of the game is anything like this the tactical part of the game is just window dressing, 90% of the time was just spent rolling dice for dialogue options.
Even with interesting concepts, the game falls flat on executuion. Theres an attempt of survival elements, but materials and consumables are so plentiful it rarely comes into play. you can make every weapon (all 5 of them) overwhelmingly powerful; to the point that I could easily wait until the big bad guy shows up and unload on him and make him go away for the day. Total cost of getting rid of the big bad: a couple of cans of soup and less than a full clip. Traps are only good at wasting your time because everything can be solved faster with bullets. Even with all this, I consider myself a patient man so I went through up to the final mission, where I went though the whole process of selecting the right dialogue choice 10 times and wasting 30~ minutes just to get killed because one of the social links ended up in neutral instead of good, nevermind the railgun i had in my hand at the moment and which I couldn't use. Uninstalled, no longer care to see the ending after that stupidity.
Played for about an hour hoping it would pick up at some point. In a genre where you spend more than 90% of the time drifting through the silence of space, it is astounding how lazy and contrived the little dialogue that they had to put in actually is. Humor is so bad I'm now finding Dad jokes refreshing.
