Deadlight: Director's Cut

Looks pretty but meh.

The art of this game is great. I really liked the silhouette vs moving background art style. Also the sound effects and soundtrack are able to project a nice atmosphere for the game. However I do not recommend buying this game - its basically a run of the mill zombie apocalypse story (it literally is, to the point that the plot twist can be seen from a mile away) - its super short - controls are clunky, especially in intense and super tight situations where you have to move across a lot of obstacles and jumping from wall to wall - puzzles are super obvious and easy. (might as well have placed the solutions to the puzzles in the dialogue) - the only challenge in this game is the platforming, only because you are given such god awful controls Do your wallet a favor and buy something else instead.

Deponia

HEED THE WARNING OF OTHERS

Deponia has good art and a good story. But do take note the warnings of others. Puzzles make little to no sense at all aka "try everything in your inventory until something works". Trust me, a lot of the puzzles dont follow any order of logic. And Rufus walks really slow which is especially annoying with a lot of the puzzles requiring you to go back and forth throughout the town. Sigh. I wish I hadn't bought this game in the first place. There are tons of other puzzle games out there offering better mechanics and more enjoyable gameplay. PS: If you're really gonna get this game, make sure to have a guide ready as you would get easily annoyed by having to go back and forth through town because you forgot something on the opposite end of town. PPS: Rufus is such an annoying character and the comedy part in this story is very very VERY forced. (mostly about rufus making a fool out of himself or others)
