Pre-ordered the game and as much as I loved it for it's story and world building, the technicall side of the game at launch was a hot garbage. With the release of 2.0 and Phantom Liberty we finally have CP77 as it should be at release. One of my favorite games ever but definitely my last ever pre-order from CDPR.
The story in this game is absolutely great. So far it has been of the same high quality as in Witcher 3. On the other hand gameplay is extremely so-so. Some gwent battles are interesting but most of them are rather boring. Also the fact that some rewards from exploration are mutiplayer exclusive - when you have to pay for them with resources used for single player campaign - is rather annoying at best and frustrating at worst.
I really like the art style of this game. Music is simple but atmospheric and story while simple was better than I expected. That being said after some time game loop becomes repetitive, once you get your businnes going and unlock all the book bits the part of the game taking place in time isn't really fun to repeat. At that point only interesting things were different outcomes of rituals but since those can only be performed every 4 weeks I was starting to feel a bit frustrated. It took me 6,5h to reach main ending and personally I would like this game more if it was more 4,5-5h instead.
Is this game buggy? Yeah, it's buggy as hell. Worst part of those bugs is that they are immersion breaking. But looking past them, there is great written story and complex characters that pull you into this world. I wasn't very hyped for Cyberpunk 2077 as I don't really like Cyberpunk setting but this game sold it to me. I feel in love with Night City and even after finishing game, I want to keep coming for more and more. But perhaps before that I'll wait for couple more patches so my next ride is a bit smoother.
First game was pretty darn good and got me hooked. I like the story and enjoyed space combat. Yet out of all thos girls we are forced to romance one that was literally the last one I would like to romance myself. Realization that I don't have an option to romance any character that were much more interesting, almost instantly killed my interest in this game. It looks like Mask of Arcadius falsely advertised that you will have a say in who you can romance with and once you buy Liberation Day you are informed that you have a linear romance. Once again, disappointing.
This game is "ok". Not great, not terrible but simply ok. Story is "meh" at best, but I wasn't picking this game up to enjoy it's story aspect. Combat is varying between good and anoying depending on a weapon you use. It's a shame that I've found a weapon that I enjoyed after finishing around 80% of the game. I was looking for great boss fights and that was the most dissapointing aspect of the game. Out of 10 bosses I didn't beat only 3 from the get go. What's worse there never was this feeling of tension during those fights. Not once after a victory I felt a sense of achieveing something. Adding insult to injury, to finish this I needed only 14h and 41 minutes. It's one of those games that you pick up, finish and then never come back for more.
