although it was my first elder scrolls game, it convinced me to play the others, I enjoy both oblivion and Skyrim. Skyrim uses a better engine, my only gripe with this version is the lack of the modkit. The fighting is fluid, dynamic, fun, and intuitive, there's no reason not to play this game at some point if you haven't.
