The UI has the flair of the classic Monkey Island titles (1 & 2). The characters are written and designed lovely and the story is fascinating (and dark). There has a lot of love been put in the animations (and by that I want to highlight: The idle animations) of the main character who shows different emotions depending on the situation. The interactions are full of humor and the story is rather mature and becomes pretty dark (in a very good way in my opinion). The German synchro is top notch. All Characters are incredibly lovely voiced. So if you speak german, I can absolutely recommend choosing the German voice setting. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT! I played in classic mode and the riddles can sometimes demand thinking around two corners, outside of the box and sometimes unexpectedly straight ahead. The ones who know Monkey Island will know what I mean by that. Be warned: In classic mode there are a vew items that are almost hidden out of sight which can be a bit frustrating, if you don't happen to stumble upon them and the only negative point I have about this game. You can avoid this by either choosing the "Modern Mode" or by paying really close attention to what on screen is interactable. CONCLUSION: It's in every aspect an absolutely captivating and beautiful experience! I can only recommend it! The only thing I "regret" is: I can only play it for the first time once.
