My biggest gripe with the city-building genre has always been that there is no end goal. No matter how big or developed your settlement is, it is going nowhere. Against the Storm manages to fix this problem by making each city you build an hour-long mission. After completing you move on to creating another settlement with its own challenges. If this sounds good to you, the game is a must-buy. If you prefer endless city-building, then this may be a deterring point to you. My personal opinion is that the game is great and the constant updates really help keep it fresh.
If you are looking for a challenging souls-inspired first-person RPG this is the game for you. If you enjoy heavy guitar, lots of blood, and ripping-off enemies' heads, this is also the game for you. The game offers 9 skills, which can be used to make combat more fun. A dash ability, to dodge all those pesky enemies' attacks, and most important of all - a large number and variety of weapons to play around with. If you are diligent and careful with your surroundings, you will acquire a lot of the weapons and unleash hell on your enemies. My only critique is that the hammer tends to be the best-choice weapon, as it has practically no drawbacks and every benefit you would need. Do not think much about it, just buy the game. If you do not trust me, go watch a video review, or some gameplay footage and if it seems like your cup of tea, buy it. \m/ METAL \m/
