Unreal Tournament 2004 Editor's Choice Edition

One of the best FPS

Since 2004 (which was a long time ago)

Thief Simulator

Too rough - needs further development

This was the first time I refunded a game on gog. I really like the idea of breaking into houses in an open world. However everything feels clunky and unfinished. I didn't play the other simulator games from that creator and don't know what their standards are, but for me it didn't feel immersive or atmospheric at all. The AI is like on rails, city feels mostly dead, buildings feel empty. I wish they would have spent much more time on developing this game since the general idea seems good. I cannot recommend this game.

War for the Overworld: The Under Games

Best DLC

Imho this is the best and also the biggest DLC. You've got lots of new maps, new game modes, new AI with special enemies and also a new campaign.

War for the Overworld

Best of DK plus addtitional content

I love how this game takes the best things out of DK and makes it a modern game with wonderful graphics, many different game modes and scenarios and it also adds lots of gameplay mechanics that work perfectly in giving the player more strategy and dungeon building choises than ever!

Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap

Not only for retro fans!

It is amazing how well the game was designed back nearly 30 years ago! The mechanics still work for todays gamers very well. It plays very smooth and has some little puzzles in it to make you travel around the world of Wonderboy. The music is done really with care and also a fresh touch. Also the artwork is amazing, bringing the world to live. You even can select the difficulty (I played just fine on 'normal') and there's also drawn cut scenes inside. To look back to my childhood when I played this game (thousands of times) I must say I love the "retro feature" in which you just can switch back to the old graphics and music. It really gave me some moments I remembered all of a sudden back over 20 years ago, which is amazing. Also it makes me feel like this is what I imagined the world back when I was small. I can totally recommend it even to adventures who did not play the original game.
