Dark Wave Shooter

Painkiller was in the top wave shooter of its time and beating Serious Sam for in-depth story. Overall fun game.

Better than the first one but same flaws

The game falls apart the moment you drive a spaceship that is not on rails. This is an on-rails FMV type shooter. When you start controlling the millenium falcon on chapter 3 it falls apart like the first game. Colision is horrendous and you also have inverse controls go up move mouse down go down mouse mouse up not a big deal but the colision makes no sense. You are no even close graphically to an obstacele but still hit it and damage your ship. I gave 2 start because i was able to play the first 3 mission unlike the first game which is unplable due to spaceship controls. If you want to buy one just get the second one be aware it is still terrible due to spaceship controls.

Fun game in dos box, Game does not hold up in terms of gfx even snes or genesis looks better. Still playable if you configure the keyboard. Lacks instruction to start game. Use function keys F1 to F10.

Great FPS and i am not a Star Trek fan.

I remember playing the demo on fileplanet and gamepsy. Thanks for briging this in GOG. Great title and get the first game too if you are an FPS fan.

Impossible to drive ship with mouse/kb

Controls are terrible. Nostalgia factor, i remember as a kid seeing older teens play this at club price. Tried it and would always die. Thought i was too young but no the controls were terrible back then and even right now with keyboard and mouse. The moment you control the ship that it not on Rail FMV the game falls apart due to the bad controls and poor colision detection. The first one is unplayable as you start in beggars' Canyon but the second one you can play chapter 1 and 2 until chapter 3 where you basically have the problem controlling the Millenium Falcon. Nostalgia factor 10. Unplayable 0

Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix - Gold Edition

Terrible

Played on max difficulty, Guns hit scan dont register 80% of time. Forget about the Machine. Youll arrive at Temple Ruins and understand how bad the AI is. If the ai is hard coded to throw a nade and run even if you shoot him first he wont die until his action is complete which is uber none sense. If you move a certain part of the section of the map the ai appears out of thing triggers a hard coded action even if you shoot first ai does not die until action is complete. That was on max difficulty maybe its better on ez but defenitely the worse SOF i have ever played. The free online mp was just ok back in the day when the game was release but game is garbage compared to SOF 1. SOF 1 max difficulty and story even graphics imo was a lot better.
