Baldur's Gate 3

Deserves its praise

+Looks very good. +Sounds good +Lots of high quality content, much more than you get in other games +lots of stuff to choose for your character/party ~is reasonably polished, some glitches in couch-coop ~not for kids, obviously ~I would not recommend "balanced" or above if you are new to DnD. you start weak and stay weak until around level 4/you found some good items

Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War

Combat oriented "4X" game

The marketing as "4X" games, while not outright misleading, might some people to expect something different. It is great at what it does, however. You do the usual stuff, laying down cities and claiming hexes, conquering stratigically siginificant tiles and such, unlock new research in a mechanics-wise relatively simple research tree, but the man focus is on tactics, not strategy. Here the game really shines. You build up your forces relatively quickly, have lots of unique units and factions, useful active abilities and also hero-like units. You will be in combat most of the time, and this is what the game is about. You spend most of your time thinking about were to position your units, what units to build, what units to use to counter the current opponent, not what obvious upgrade your city needs next. (Usually the number in the red).
