Synthwave Burnout

So Disappointed

Not worrth the $0.95 I paid. My experince is as follows. Load up the game to find that it does not have full controller support and you have to use the mouse and keyboard on all menus. I tried to customize the controller mapping and it screwed up the whole thing; I had to go deep into the game files in the %LOCALAPPDATA% folder to find and delete the config folder to get it back to default. I get into the game to find that the car sound effects cannot be turned off at all, even if you turn them off in the menu. During the game play all you can hear is the car engine. I wanted to hear the music, in a game about music. It was very difficult to hear it. In the driving part of the game, it's rather chill, until it throws some sharp turns at you and if you hit the curb, you crash and have to start over. Out of the 19 minutes I played this game I spent 15 trying to fix the controlls and 4 min actually playing. Music is good though, if you can hear it.

Could Not Get it to Work At All

Gave up trying. Even after following directions to patch it, it still would not work. I really wanted to play this game.

Warhammer: Chaosbane

Not as Bad as Others Say

At the time of this review I have 20+ hours into the game. I bought the Slayer Edition.Like the title says, I don't think this game is as bad as a lot of the other reviewers say. Is this game worth full price? No. Is it worth a sale price? Yes. To start, this game has full controller support which is a plus to me and possibly other's with disabilities that make mouse and keyboard hard to use. The menu's in game are just like Diablo 3. The Story is the meat of this game. If you like Warhammer Fantasy, this is worth giving a try. If you don't like Warhammer you would probably want to skip this. I enjoyed the main story and the Tomb Kings DLC. It's not very deep of a story but it was fun to go through. Melee combat and difficulty is where this game shows its problems. I played throug as the Witch Hunter who is both ranged and melee. I started out switching between them on the fly as is the class mechanic. However, after act 1 I realized that it's not worth my time to use melee as the enemies run around trying to avoid you and the game is much easier as ranged. The other big issue was that once you get past act 1 you will out gear the hardest difficulty level that you can access(Very Hard), but you cannot get to the higher ones until you finish the story. So the rest of the game is trivial. Bosses are not hard at all and can be killed with a few hits. Another thing that bothered me was being insta-killed. This happened to me every so often even when I out leveled the content. It's like a random glitch or something. I would like to say more but I'm running out of space. I'll try to summarize quickly. There is an end game system that is honestly kind of boring because for the Invasions you cannot select the difficulty and its very easy for more than half of them. Tower of Chaos is a pain. Relic hunt is were you get your gear upgrades. Overall it has a ok story, nice looking and feeling zones, but is too easy until end game and you might be bored by then.
