RoboCop: Rogue City

It get better

It starts out kind of meh. But don't give up too early, it gets progressively better! Specially after the weapon customization has been unlocked.

Tomb Raider: Underworld

Camera is your worse enemy

I've played most of the Tomb Raider games from 1 to Tomb Raider: Anniversary but don't remember the camera to be this bad.

Stranglehold

Not Max Payne

I though this will scratch my Max Payne/FEAR itch but I was disappointed. Shooting is nowhere near fun, no reloads, controls are very clunky like its designed for consoles.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition

When special means r*trded

Graphics look nice but that is about it. - Out of my way Lydia! jeeesus christ - Legendary difficulty = sponge enemies who can one shot you - Horrible console peasant focused UI even on PC - No I will not install Sky UI, You fix it Bethesda - They expect the mod community slaves to do all the fixes, But I didn't pay them, I don't want to install any mods specially when it involves installing multiple other software.

Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem

Not as good as the reviews said

It is an okay game, but it is not amazing like many have suggested. I have not played SS4 and my last SS game before this is SS3, which I replayed this year again. This DLC is not as good as SS3 IMO and here is why: 1) Locations: No memorable beautiful epic landscapes/environment or open spaces like SS3 or SS1/Second encounter. There is only one that I can consider a good environment and even that is shown in the trailer. No epic moments or secrets as I remember the SS series to have. 2) Clutter: This is also a problem in SS3. You constantly get stuck in the environment objects when trying to run and gun, there is something wrong with the collision meshes and the environment design and they clearly they forgot the SS philosophy after the first SS games where you have large spaces to move around and shoot 3) Mechs/Tank: You may think this is amazing but I found both sections to be just a boring drag. There is also no challenge and they don't really even sound amazing. Duel wielding is good, but gun play could have been better. The guns themselves do not sound "meaty " enough which I think is a missed opportunity. They didn't go overboard with customizations/character skill points like Shadow Warrior 2 did so that is a plus (These are suppose to be shooters with just enough story to relieve stress, not RPGs!). Character improvements clearly help in any difficulty above Hard.

Arx Fatalis

A true immersive sim

I do not get what all the complains are about. Maybe gamers today are too spoiled as they seem to think Witcher is a true RPG when it is a story driven adventure game. This on the other hand is an amazing immersive sim with some of the best ambient audio I have heard. It doesn't hold your hand and like old Ultima games and Gothic things make sense and naturally fit into place. There are tons of secrets and multiple ways you can approach many of the tasks that are completely easy to miss. Same level of immersion is not there in their modern titles like Dishonoured.

ELEX

Not a spiritual successor to Gothic

Some people are comparing it to Gothic but it is no where near that level. In Elex a burnt out turkey you find just in the staring area can kill you in an instant in Ultra difficulty. Gothic didn't have a foolish difficulty system which means they could do proper enemy placement and better level design. They intelligently put juvenile animals in the start, and tough enemies in difficult to reach locations. But in Elex you have to worry about a 1000 other things when fighting. Your stamina which keeps running out in the middle of a combo, staggering enemy attacks, rolling and evading, combos and special attacks with separate meters. It is unacceptable that a studio that constantly got bashed for bad combat systems still went ahead and made an even worse combat system. This is apart from all the immersion breaking issues. Why Beserkers don't care when I have a companion who is an Alb flying all over the city? aren't they suppose to be mortal enemies? In Gothic 2 if you go into a house in the harbour city people will drive you out but if you come back as a town guard they will not dare attack you. in the expansion, go to a bandit camp wearing the wrong armour and you are dead. Also why can't I take weapons from enemies? That is one of the things that made Gothic amazing, if you can beat a tough enemy their powerful weapon is yours. I truly don't understand how a studio that had that level of attention to detail based on the realism of old school RPG's like Ultima 7 devolved into making generic games. I don't think PB is getting enough feedback on their negatives or positives but I guess it is the gamers fault since they need to make financial decision based on what would appeal to most people.
