Some may not enjoy older games like I do but this game is simply a masterpiece, it may be an unpopular opinion but this is by far my favorite game in the series. Perfect map size just enough quests to keep it new and refreshing but not endless or seeming like you spend 140 plus hours to 100% the game. The story can be hard to follow at first especially if you have zero experience with anything related to the franchise with new characters being introduced almost like cameo's on a tv show but if you read a lot of the lore pages and actually try to dig into the pasts you have with these characters they become endearing very quickly. Similar to games like Mass Effect your choices in this game hold very serious weight in the next two additions to the series and it feels well played out in referencing back to this game rather than just a "cannon" that occurs for all games to follow. Obviously there is a real storyline that is followed in the books but this feels great for someone who wants an enthralling story while not having the entry barrier of having to read a however long book series. I cannot wait for the Witcher 4 and I wish this review to guide someone to try this game out for their first time, definitely a learning curve but I know once you get past it theres a very high chance you wont be able to put it down.
