No Man's Sky

Good but could be better with updates.

I've played about 5 hours so far and enjoyed it. If you're looking for a game with a lot of depth then this is not it, and was never going to be. It's a relaxing exploration experience with the odd dogfight and not much more. The procedural generation so far has not been as varied as I expected, but perhaps I have just been unlucky. Most of the planets I have visited have been pretty barren but the wildlife has been very varied and interesting. Discovering the languages and naming planets is a fun goal if you're into exploring and collecting but if you're expecting an epic storytelling adventure I don't think you will get one (I have not finished the main quest though). As for performance, I've had excellent FPS and one crash since I started playing, so no real complaints there. Although the view distance should be increased for PC rather than having asteroids pop in right in front of you. Overall it's an enjoyable experience for those who just like flying around and seeing new places. If you enjoy exploring the caves in Subnautica then you will probably enjoy this.
