This will provide you about an hour of enjoyment and game time. The multiplayer uses room codes and there is no matchmaking or server browser or hot seat mode. You are getting a single player board game for $20. Graphics: Although the style is well done, there is an excessive use of depth of field, meaning most of the screen will be blurry. The options menu only has resolution and vsync options. If you want to put it in a window, use Alt+Enter. You can get used to the blue after a while, but some people may have problems. There is also a beautiful animated opening cinematic, parts of which were included in the trailer. That is the only place that animation exists. Gameplay: The style is why this gets 3 stars, because the gameplay is subpar. You have a single board, some characters with RPG stats, and unlockable items. The game has 4 win conditions, but 1 of them is infinitely easier than the others (prestige victory). Really, this would have worked better as a physical board game with house rules. Or with actual multiplayer. Multiplayer: Technically, you can. Not sure how. You will need to get some friends to play with you, and convince them to spend $20 on a single player board game. And when you're done, you have all paid a total of $80 for a board game that is meh. Really, that money could go towards Munchkin with expansions or D&D and you would get decades more fun than this. Conclusion: This is a $5 game unless they give it some real multiplayer support, like a hot seat mode. Wait for the sale (wish I did).
