Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition

Glad to see it

Fallout 4 is not without its faults but it is wonderful to see it join GOG's library. Set in the Boston area just before, then 200 years after the fall of the bombs that created the Fallout game setting, this is a post-post apocalyptic game with themes of "what makes a person a person" intermingled with the expected "us versus evil sci-fi gangs and mutants" action that should be expected in this sort of thing. A steal if it is on sale, it is a good buy at a full $40 even today (though keep in mind that this does not- yet?- include all "Creators Club" DLC content, most of it minor. If you all remember the Horse Armor controversy of years back, that's essentially what you're looking at with that so not much missed. So far as the game itself is concerned, you're looking at a great many hours of game play and exploration well worth your time, only further enhanced through mods available online (don't discount FO4- it may not have as much a following as Skyrim but it is still very much alive). Recommendations for roleplaying options: 1) Subversion 2) Sim Settlements 3) Fen's Sheriff Department 4) Father Companion (spoilers, can install at end of game) 5) The Commonwealth Roleplay Expansion team's work 6) Crime and Punishment

Beyond Good & Evil™

Impressive to say the least

Others before me have said what ought to be said of this game: that it has very smooth gameplay, phenomenal atmosphere, a strong [realistic] female protagonist, and a good cast of characters. The game is light-hearted while managing to be serious at times (particularly in the last area of the game) and I could not recommend it more. Shame there's no sequel... yet... What's more, Ubisoft is being extra cool by offering the game's impressive soundtrack for free, perhaps why GOG doesn't include it as a bonus download: http://www.destructoid.com/beyond-good-evil-soundtrack-up-for-free-download-195965.phtml+beyond+good+and+evil+ost&cd=8&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&source=www.google.com
