I had never played a Diablo game before this, but watched a retrospective on it from a YouTuber called Jwlar and that made me want to at least try it. Overall, its pretty great and I see why it was so popular back when it originally released. It's very simple, essentially just a hack and slash action RPG, which I don't usually like (I'm an in depth, story rich RPG nerd) but this one is just satisfying. The sound and music design are incredible and the bare bones of it all really boils down what an RPG can be. The graphics are dated and I don't really care all too much about graphics anyway but the lower quality actually adds to the dark, horror inspired, derelict asethetic. If you're a fan of modern ARPGs like Path of Exile you'll love this, if you're a fan of more story driven RPGs like Skyrim or BG3, you'll probably still love this. If you're a fan of games in general, you'll probably love this. Look it's only $10.00 just buy it. Though, you probably won't have much sleep for several weeks after your purchase, just so you know.
