1849: Gold Edition

Fun small western sim

As others have mentioned, it is a bit too expensive.

Capitalism 2

Not straight forward.

I have to confess I've never played this type of game before and was keen to try one. The tutorial was a good introduction to how the game worked. (Although I failed a few of them, because I was reading the tutorial text and the game speed was set too fast.) There are a few bugs that you will notice as you play the game. Overall though there are some pretty strange constants in this game. For example the necessities index. This value tells you how likely people are going to buy this item. But weirdly shampoo is rated more of a necessity than bread, milk or many other foods and beverages. Some luxury or electronics goods have a high necessity index as well. Combine that with the fact that what people will actually buy varies from game to game, as well as, city to city. So playing one custom game will be different to another. I would understand if this related to expensive luxury items and the average incomes of the population. But doing something successfully in one game doesn't mean it will work in another. Basically you have to gamble on what people will buy and deliver that product to the mraket. If it doesn't sell, game over.
