This game is silly and amusing but alas it's another title from GOG that fell away from getting current patches/updates In September the game was updated to include Co-op on Steam I love GoG for the no-DRM but its hard when we don't get content from patches/updates

During development of F.E.A.R 3 Warner Bros. pushed the developers to make it co-op as that was the huge thing in gaming thanks to CoD. The horror was toned down and the game designed to be played co-op. This title is best enjoyed as a semi-cooperative but since this DRM Free release has it removed, avoid it.

This game was released on Consoles and PC's, both versions are different and this one is the superior one. Both the stories are the same but the gameplay differs greatly. The PC version was built on a early version of the build engine, has a lot larger levels as they where able to utilize the power of the PC. Both versions allowed you to go back to previous levels you have finished but there was no need to on the PC version. The original PC version was your pretty standard FPS game. This version which is a combination of both the Saturn and the PlayStation version was built using a 3D engine that provided better lighting, and true 3D. This version has Artifacts that you need to collect to help you progress in the game as they provide special abilities. The artifacts are also required to collect all the Transmitter pieces that enable you to get the "Good" ending. A lot more challenging then the PC version, but a better experience.
