This game is pretty good, I just got 100% on it and it's clear they just wanted to try something new. I think this new style isn't that bad but I guess they have their reasons for never going back to this and returning back to the old formula. As long as you're maxing out the stud bar on every level, you'll never need to play a level twice. I thought that was pretty neat. I really liked this game but it doesn't got crap on Lego Batman and especially not Lego Star Wars, but its still another fun and exciting Lego game.
