It was a long time since such a lovely designed adventure appeared. Beautiful music in an awesome designed world with tricky puzzles and an adorable main character. I also like the concept of 'not speaking' by showing little sequences in speak bubbles. everything fits and sometimes there are really difficult parts. I don't know if I like the included walkthrough or not. sometimes the temptation is too high ;) For me it was the first game I bought on GOG and it made me stay. And after a few weeks it's playable again without rushing through the whole game. Well done!!!
I thnik Wastelands 2 is a succesfull mashup of Jagged Alliance 2 and Fallout 1 & 2. Great atmosphere, partly difficult quest and the freedom of choice wich absolutly influent the progressing story. Therefor this game invites to play it a few times to explore everything. I haven't tried the hardcore mode yet, but the hard one is an accurate rise of difficulty. Creating your party will take a little more time and you will definetly do it a second time after a few levels, but I think thats usual for the RPG character of the game. I'd wish for a little more differences between the characters. Few more Char-Pictures, or benefits for being a small/large character (more agility/more strengh) for example. By the way the splitting of lock picking and safe-cracking is absolutly unnecessary and I missed a skill for throwing knifes and grenades, cause every explosive hits exactly where want to... Sometimes it's difficult to get an overview of the items on the map and in the inventory, but I got used to it. The last 'negative' point for me is a little lack of tactics like night-vision or stealth mode, wich would have made the fight much more interesting. All in all a really funny and authentic game in a post apocalyptic world with it's dark and funny situations. And it will give you lots of entertaining hours of gameplay
