You can't particularly comment on the age of this game as a downside, of course it's design princples will be outdated compared modern "standards," which in this genre still aren't quite as revolutonary as we think. But in terms of the short story it tells and the writing therein, I found both to be quite engaging and heartfelt. If you can tolerate games of this type and don't mind setting up DGVoodoo to make it run at your desired 4:3 resolution, I imagine you'll enjoy it.
