In my humble opinion everything this game tried to implement was really well executed. Graphics: it’s beautiful and provides perfect dark atmosphere of London at night. Story: is very captivating due to interesting characters each with their own backstory and mystery (or two) to solve and may have one or multiple connections to other district inhabitants, so choose your prey to feed on very carefully. You’ll fill every life you take in the game as you hear your victim’s last words while doing it. Also every district has it’s own linked storyline which forces you to make a choice in the end and face the hard consequences. Music/Voice: main and most secondary characters are very well done. Soundtracks are elevating dark mystical atmosphere even more Gameplay: controls is very responsive and you have many unique skills to choose/try what you like. Good reflexes and timing is a key to master this combat system, brainless buttons mashing will drain your stamina very quickly which is always dangerous in this game, because you cannot attack or dodge without it. You could respec and pick different skills as many times as you want, but it’ll cost you more money each time you do it. Also if you don’t want to kill anyone, don’t expect to max out your build (not to mention acquiring all possible skills) even if you’ll do all possible side quests as well, because you’ll probably not going to get any skill from “Special” abilities while doing pacifist play through. All in all, for an AA game it’s 10/10 for what it offers. P.S. The best (happiest) ending is still possible for those, that screw-up few district storylines and kill some people as well. Happy hunting!))
CDPR is a great developer team that cared for their game and it's players - and I'm sure it payed out, and I'll tell you why. I'm from Ukraine, and people are not reach here, so not everyone have opportunity to pay for the games if they can get it for free. But I know people who have never ever bought a game before... well, before Witcher 3. They did it just to support the creators of such masterpiece. CDPR should open an online-course to teach others how to love games and care for the community. This is definitely one of the best games I've ever played. And it's most certainly the best game RPG genre has to offer in my opinion. I love every aspect of it (took me 180+ hours throughout this wonderful journey). If you're still didn't get it, what are you waiting for? P.S. Hate those people that posting low rating reviews just for not be upgraded to GOTY edition for free. So what? You already have all the content in there. Chill out!
Very beautiful game I must say! I spend my firs hour of gameplay only for looking around at gorgeous Witcher 3 nature, especially sky and sun effect... Haven't seen such beautiful sky in any other game. And also I must admit that CD Project RED did a great job in optimizing the game - I get stable 45 FPS on high settings on my 4 years old PC with only graphic card upgraded (2GB Radeon R9 270x). And I just love the new combat system! It was worth to keep my saves from previous games for so long! Thanks for such great game (and free DLC's :) ) and keep up the good work! P.S. The only think I was angry about is that in the beginning after conversation with Vesemir you are thrown right away into the battle without autosave and with no ability to save the game, and on the hardest difficulty (for insane people as it said in the description) it forced me to go through that conversation with Vesemir 8 times! I know you can skip dialogue by pressing the spacebar, but it's time consuming nevertheless.
