This game introduced epic fantasy gaming to the ZX Spectrum. It is turn-based and the graphics seem incredibly simple now, but the set-up of the game has rarely been matched. The different lords you can recruit to build your army, each with their own banners and different sets of troops; the different ways in which you can achieve victory; the side quests, many of these elements have yet to be matched by similar games of today. A lot of game author and designers could learn from running through this.
