Might and Magic 6 is known for being the best in the series, followed right behind Might and Magic 7. MM6 is an RPG adventure where you choose a party of 4, who start as wimps struggling to kill pesky rats in a basement and you watch them transform into Heroes of the land you slain Titans and land ravaging beasts such as Hydras or Devils. I owned the disc copy back in the 90s and I've played it for 15 years, and I picked it up again now and some of the puzzles still get me. MM6 brings back the good old days of gaming where graphics/visuals didn't mean anything, it was the gameplay that made the game. Puzzles are around every corner; they make you think a little, but are definitely not overwhelming or confusing. The feeling you get after finding Nicholai with no help is SO REWARDING! The combat is simple to understand and entertaining. In game you have a choice of using turn based or real time combat. Turn based combat- you take an attack then the enemy takes an attack. Real Time combat- monsters are attacking, you are attacking, spells are flying, swords swinging, clubs clubbing, its an absolute thrill! Gameplay outside of combat is centered around puzzles, town exploration, talking to the locals for quests, lore, and intrigue. The game offers clues on where to go next but will never tell you where to go. It makes the player think about the quest they just completed and how it affects the local region. A con to the game is repetitiveness. Everywhere town you enter there are local quests and quests that send you abroad the world. Each quest involves you killing monsters in a dungeon. This isn't a problem though because every monster fights differently. Some can only be killed with magic, and others can only be killed with physical attacks. MM6 brings back the 90s. Nostalgia from back when you were a kid. Now kids won't get it, but if you can look pass the older graphics and dive deep into the lore and environment the game provides, you will not be disappointed.
