It's incredibly ironic that in a game called "The immortal" you spend time dying all the time. This game is essentially a dungeon crawler, where you go through rooms, solve puzzles, use items, fight enemies. I will warn you right away, that this game is absolutely and completely unfair with the player, you have to pay attention, read things and develop strategies on how to overcome challenges/obstacles. This game is, in essence, made to kill and destroy you, which is why it feels incredibly rewarding to progress in it and finishing it is a feat in itself. It has that certain elusive feel of "Oh well, what will happen if I try this?" and "Let me play just a bit more, I want to get further in the game!". Just remember: there is absolutely no shame in looking at a walk through if you really need it, the game doesn't play fair, so don't play it fairly in return. You have been warned.
For a licensed game based on a really bad movie...this is a really good game. If you like metroidvanias then you will absolutely love this game, it's very well polished and has a really good progression of difficulty/exploration throughout it. It really should have been a new IP Altogether.
After platinum'ing this game on PS3, and loving every moment of it, this is one of those games that I never expected to make it to the PC, now that THQ Nordic finally brought this to PC, I'm so happy that all PC gamers can now enjoy this great game. This game is a platformer with a lot of fun action, without going into much detail, I'll just say that the game actually changes and progresses forward as you play and you never really get bored with the same things over and over, it has a great difficulty curve and is very easy to pick up and play but also has a challenge for those seeking it. The graphics are very stylised and this game still looks great with it's phenomenal art direction. The soundtrack in this game is excellent and varied, after playing this game you want to get the soundtrack from it, it's that good! If you also want to complete everything 100% this game has a hefty amount of replayability and there is definitely stuff to do after you complete the game for the first time. Varied, colourful, imaginative, unique, memorable and very fun, play it now. 5/5 Stars
