To be clear here, I'm not reviewing RE 3, I'm reviewing the port released by GOG, at this point there's nothing left to say about the game itself. This port is a disappointment, full of technical problems, random crashes, GamePad suddenly stopping to work, textures and sound issues. Really, I just gave up playing this version and I'm just using DuckStation to replay it. I get this is not exactly an update or remaster, but rather an updated port of the original PC version recoded to run on modern hardware and OS whitout having to use Windows 9.x and Pentium IV emulators. But even in this very basic proposal this version fails. The worse is, we have a very close example of a very good port with this exactly same proposal, Resident Evil 1. RE 1 port is a pleasure to play, run smoothly as a 96 game should and game pad support is great, I played using my Xbox Series game pad and it was a marble, I even wondered how they were able to give support to it and saw the game recognizes the game pad as a joystick from the time. But mostly important, it just work. I think its a shame, I hope Capcom or whatever is responsible for coding this port release a major patch or something, because the way it is now it's boderline unplayable.
